Mary Mae’s, a newly renovated and highly regarded waterfront venue in Brisbane, is searching for a passionate and experienced Event Operations Manager to lead our front-of-house service team. As we approach our biggest and most exciting summer yet, we need someone who can manage daily venue operations and oversee all our spectacular events, including group bookings, cocktail parties, corporate gatherings, and weddings.

Your Role:

  • Deliver exceptional client and guest experiences across diverse events and daily operations.
  • Lead and manage a team of hospitality superstars.
  • Oversee event operations from setup to pack down.
  • Collaborate with the sales manager, kitchen, and venue manager.
  • Be a hands-on, guest-obsessed leader who motivates your team to provide memorable guest experiences.
  • Drive revenue by running shifts and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Support and inspire a vibrant and energetic team.

 

About You:

  • Extensive hospitality experience, from coffee to cocktails, with a strong background in venue and events management.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor a diverse team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent in time management and administration.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
  • A minimum of two years in a similar role.
  • A can-do attitude and passion for the industry.
  • Valid RSA

 

Availability:
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and school holidays as required by business demands.
